Wombwell Railway Station is a small facility which serves an equally small village in the South Yorkshire countryside close to Barnsley. The facility is located about twelve miles to the north of Sheffield. The station is well linked with the local towns and cities by services on the Pennistone Railway and the Hallam Railway.
