This station is a relatively modern ‘halt’ style interchange which was designed to replace the more centrally located Billingham Central Station which was demolished in the 1970s. The station serves the small town of Billingham on the Durham Coast Line in Northumberland. The countryside surrounding the area is spectacular in its untouched beauty and unbridled power.
