Bamford Station is located in the wonderfully picturesque and beautiful Peak District National Park. The station serves the small Derbyshire village of Bamford on the Midland’s Railway Dore and Chinley Line. The station is close to several large dams on the Upper Derwent River which was the site of the testing of the famous Bouncing Bomb during World War Two. The area is surrounded by natural beauty.
