Situated twelve miles to the east of Nottingham, Aslockton Station is in a charming village in the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside. The station is on the north bank of the River Smite opposite the small community of Whatton. Thomas Cranmer the famous Archbishop of Canterbury was born in the village and remains firmly the areas most famous son. It is thought that the village has both Saxon and Danish origins from its name.
