Penrith Station is less than one mile from the centre of the Cumbrian town. The station is located close to some of the most stunning parts of the Lake District and was once called Penrith North lakes Station. Services operate to the station on the West Coast Mainline and although it is not a particularly busy station it enjoys fairly frequent services.
