London Overground

London Overground came in to service in November 2007 and provide railway services presently concentrated in north, west and east London

London Overground services remain part of the National Rail network, but the contracting authority is Transport for London, rather than central Government.
London Overground routes are branded with a version of the London Underground roundel (coloured orange with a blue bar) and are shown on Underground maps with a double orange stripe.
As the Overground name implies, the vast majority of the network is above ground, mostly consisting of railway lines connecting areas outside Central London, with a considerable portion of the network in Zone 2.
