LONDON MIDLAND TRAINS is the rail company operating the West Midlands train franchise through the heart of England.

The main route of the London Midland's network operates between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street.

London Midland runs two long-distance train services - one from London Euston to Birmingham New Street via Watford Junction, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Rugby, Coventry and Birmingham International. The other London Midland route is from Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street, via Wolverhampton, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe, Runcorn and Liverpool South Parkway (for Liverpool John Lennon Airport).

London Midland also operates local services in the West Midlands, linking Birmingham with Worcester, Hereford, Shrewsbury, Stratford-on-Avon, Walsall, Rugeley, Lichfield, Leamington Spa, Solihull, Stourbridge, Kidderminster and Redditch; and operates local services from London Euston to Northampton, Bedford to Bletchley and Watford to St Albans.

London Midland runs over 1300 train services every day and is owned by Govia, the parnership between the Go Ahead Group and Keolis.

Prior to been awarded to London Midland in November 2007 the London Midland train routes were run by the Silverlink and Central Trains operating company, who were both managed by National Express.

London Midland Express Lines for the longer distance routes outside the West Midlands including:-

  • Birmingham to London via Birmingham International, Coventry, Rugby, Northampton, Milton Keynes Central, Hemel Hempstead and Watford.
  • CreLondon Midland to London via Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, Lichfield, Tamworth, Nuneaton, Rugby, Northampton and Milton Keynes Central.
  • Liverpool to Birmingham via Runcorn, Crewe, Stafford and Wolverhampton

London Midland City Lines that are Centred on Birmingham. City trains provide local services within the West Midlands conurbation and links to midlands towns and cities including Redditch, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Worcester, Hereford, Kidderminster, Shrewsbury, Telford and Stafford.

London Midland also serves the Marston Vale and Abbey Line branch lines from Bletchley to Bedford and Watford Junction to St Albans Abbey.

Facilities on London Midland Trains

London Midland offers at-seat refreshment service, including hot & cold beverages and savoury & sweet snacks along the following routes: Birmingham - Liverpool, Crewe - London and Birmingham - London.

First Class London Midland service is provided along the following routes: all routes south of Northampton, between Birmingham and Liverpool and between Birmingham and Northampton.

London Midland does not offer seat reservations onboard its trains.
