First Class post coming through letterbox

Ticket delivery by Royal Mail First Class post

Tickets can be posted to you by Royal Mail First Class post, providing you book five or more working days before your outward journey*. If you are booking closer than this to your outward journey, First Class post will not be presented as a delivery option.

Delivery by First Class post costs £1.50 - your tickets will arrive in an unmarked envelope, together with a copy of your journey itinerary.

When completing your booking, please ensure that you enter your name, address and postcode correctly so that your tickets can be safely delivered.

If you have not received your tickets after five working days, please contact RailSaver.

Please note:-

  • we can only deliver tickets to UK addresses (including the Channel Islands and Isle of Man). Delivery to addresses outside the UK is not possible and you should use the self-service ticket collection option instead
  • if you are booking high value tickets (greater than £250 in total), the First Class post option will not be available. Delivery will be made instead via Royal Mail Special DeliveryTM Next Day, which has greater insurance cover than First Class post

*Please note that in cases of extreme weather, you may have to allow more time for delivery. Alternatively, it may be wise to consider whether collection from a self-service ticket machine is a more appropriate option for your journey.
